COMMUNITY AWARENESS, INTERACTION AND COMMUNICATION WITH VETERANS.WHEREAS ACCORDING TO THE VA SUICIDE DATA REP REPORT IN 2012, THERE'S A NA NATIONAL AVERAGE OF 22 SUICIDES PER DAY FOR 8,000 A YEAR.
THE VA STUDY ALSO SHOWED 11,000 NON-FATAL SUICIDE ATTEMPTS A YEAR.
NOW THEREFORE, WE THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKE JACKSON, WHO HEREBY PROCLAIM FEBRUARY 11TH, 2023 AS VOW 22 DAY IN THE CITY OF LAKE JACKSON IN TESTIMONY, WHEREAS WITNESS BY MY HAND AND THE SEAL OF THE CITY OF LAKE JACKSON, THE SIXTH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2023.

UM, WE'RE TRYING TO CHANGE IT A LITTLE BIT, BUT WE'RE US AS VAL 22 IS WE PROVIDE THAT COUNSELING FOR THE VETERAN, THE SPOUSE AND THEIR CHILDREN, NO COST TO THE VETERAN, THE SPOUSES OF THE CHILDREN AT ALL.

THEY DEDICATED 20 MILLION OF IT TO THIS PROJECT.
SO THAT PUTS US AT 226 MILLION LEFT.
SO THIS YEAR I KNOW THAT, THAT THE PROPOSED BUDGET FOR GLOW IS GONNA BE NOW 500 MILLION.
AND THAT'S FOR THE ENTIRE GULF COAST.
SO I DID SPEAK WITH OUR REPRESENTATIVE, OUR STATE REPRESENTATIVE TODAY, UM, THEY ARE GONNA BE REQUESTING THE FULL AMOUNT OF FUNDING OF THE 226 MILLION.
