I DID INFORM THEM THAT WE HAD THE SAME DISCUSSION WITH VERIZON AT THE DUNBAR, UH, TOWER, UM, AND THAT WE COULD NOT ACCEPT THE 99, UH, AN EASEMENT AGREEMENT. BUT ALSO, UM, AND THAT DISCUSSION, WE WEREN'T IN FAVOR OF LOWERING THE MONTHLY AMOUNT AND GOING TO A FIVE YEAR, UM, I GUESS, UM, INCREASE OF 12%. AND COUNCIL HAD DECIDED TO, UH, STAY, STAY THE CORE. SO I, UM, I DID, I DID LET HIM KNOW THAT MOST LIKELY THAT WAS GONNA BE THE SAME DECISION ON THIS ONE. SO IN, IN THIS PARTICULAR INSTANCE, DID THEY NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONTRACT EITHER? THEY DO. THEY'RE, UH, BOTH DO. THEY'RE REALLY, THEY'RE, THEY'RE SAYING THAT THE EXPANSION OF 5G IS CHANGING THE DYNAMICS AND THAT THEY'RE LOOKING AT ALL OF THEIR LEASE RATES THROUGHOUT, YOU KNOW, THEIR SYSTEM AND BELIEVE THAT THEY'RE, WE CAN'T BLAME 'EM FOR US TOO HIGH. UM, UH, BUT AGAIN, YOU KNOW, WE'VE HAD THIS DISCUSSION OF STAFF AND I THINK I'VE, I'VE INFORMED COUNSEL THAT LONG TERM, UM, I MEAN, RIGHT NOW THE LEASE ARRANGEMENTS ARE GOOD FOR THE AMOUNT, BUT THEY ARE TROUBLESOME. UH, AND SO ANYTHING LESS BECOMES, UH, NOT APPEALING BECAUSE WE HAVE TO MAINTAIN THE WATER TOWER. UM, AND SO THE EQUIPMENT IS ALWAYS A WORKAROUND. SO WHAT IF, UH, AN AGREEMENT THAT THE FIVE YEARS THAT THEY NEED TO USE THE EASEMENT, HOW, HOW DID [00:10:01] THAT WORK? THEY DON'T, UM, THEY HAVE A, A RIGHT TO ACCESS, BUT THEY HAVE TO LET US KNOW. AND, AND AGAIN, COUNCIL CAN CHANGE THEIR, THEIR MIND BEFORE THAT TIME PERIOD IS, IS THEN WE WOULD DRAFT, UH, WHAT THE BALLOT LANGUAGE WOULD BE AND WHAT THE RESTRICTIONS WOULD BE, WOULD BE PART OF THAT. SO EVERYBODY KNOW UP FRONT, THIS IS WHAT, WHAT WE'RE PUTTING TOWARD THE VOTERS. UH, THE CHALLENGE WITH SENATE BILL 1 41, WHENEVER, YOU KNOW, I GOT THOSE REQUESTS, I WENT AND LOOKED TO SEE IF THERE WAS ANY OUT THERE. IS SENATE BILL 4 1 41.
