AND REALLY THAT IS, UM, A LITTLE BIT BASED ON KIND OF THE EXPERIENCE THAT YOU'RE SEEING, UH, WHERE WE HAVE PARKING REGULATIONS, BUT THEN SOME MAJOR PLAYERS WILL COME AND ASK FOR A ALTERNATE PLAN THAT VEERS AWAY SO THEN THEY CAN DEVELOP ON THE, THE PARKING SITE. AND SO THAT'S WHERE, WHERE THIS DISCUSSION REALLY STARTED IN THE STRATEGIC PLAN IS LIKE, DO WE HAVE REGULATIONS THAT ARE TOO, TOO, TOO STRINGENT? SHOULD THEY BE MORE, UH, RELAXED? DO. ENGINEERING DOES AND ZAL DOES MOST OF THE TIME WHERE YOU SEE, YOU KNOW, BIG BOX STORES AND STUFF, THEY PRETTY MUCH KNOW THEIR BUSINESS AND THEY'RE MORE AWARE OF THE PARKING THAT THEY NEED, REALLY. NOW THEY MAY GET THAT FROM THEIR ARCHITECT, YOU KNOW, RIGHTFULLY SO. BUT USUALLY THE BIG BUSINESSES ARE JUST TRYING TO COMPLY. AND I KNOW AUSTIN HAS MOVED AWAY FROM THE PARKING REQUIREMENT, HAS GONE TO GUIDELINES, AND I KNOW THERE HAS AT LEAST BEEN TWO OTHER CITIES, BUT I CANNOT RECALL 'EM OFF THE, YOU KNOW, THE TOP OF MY HEAD. WE HAVE APPROXIMATELY IDENTIFIED 200 MILLION PLUS PROJECTS THAT WE WANT TO ACCOMPLISH OVER THE NEXT 15 YEARS. SO IT'S QUITE SIZEABLE IN THAT, UH, IS, WE'VE STARTED OUR FIRST PROJECT OUTTA THAT AND IT'S A $20 MILLION PROJECT. WELL, IT'S A $20 MILLION BOND ISSUE THAT WE JUST PASSED THIS SUMMER. AND THE FIRST MAJOR PROJECT IS LIFT STATION ONE, WHICH IS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET. AND THAT WAS ESTIMATED TO BE 15 RIGHT NOW IT'S COME IN 13 ISH, UH, IN THERE. AND THEN LAST NIGHT WE ISSUED ANOTHER 3 MILLION, UM, FOR INI, UH, REPAIRS REPLACEMENT OF, UH, UH, PIPE. SO WE HAVE SOME LEFTOVER FUNDS TO DO SOME MORE, BUT WE WANNA MAKE SURE THAT WE GET MIDWAY THROUGH THE LIFT STATION PROJECT BEFORE WE FREE UP THE REST OF THE REST OF THOSE FUNDS. AND SO OUT OF THAT WE, WE JUST COULDN'T PULL OFF OR GO TO THE VOTERS OR JUSTIFY IT GO TO THE VOTERS FOR EITHER YON OR LAKE ROAD. 'CAUSE IT WOULD'VE TAKEN UP THE WHOLE BOND ISSUE. UM, AND NOW WE ARE IMPROVING THE BOTTOM OF THE DITCH. WE'RE PUTTING CONCRETE DOWN THE BOTTOM AND WE'LL COME UP ON THE SIDES. RIGHT NOW WE'RE LOOKING AT 10 FEET. IT MAY BE A LITTLE MORE, DEPENDING ON HOW STEEP THE SIDES COME OUT OR HOW, HOW MUCH DIRT WE HAVE TO REMOVE TO FLATTEN THEM OUT. UM, SO IT'LL BE A CONCRETE LINE DITCH FROM OYSTER CREEK DRIVE TO OYSTER CREEK, AND SO THAT'LL ALLOW THE WATER TO GO OUT TO THE CREEK FASTER. SO WE'RE GONNA GET IT IN FASTER FROM THE, FROM THE, MY CHESTNUT NEIGHBORHOOD AREA, AND IT'S GONNA GO TO OYSTER CREEK. THE OTHER END OF THAT PIPE, UH, THE LARGE BOX, IT, IT REDUCES IN SIZE AS IT GOES. AND VICE VERSA, IF, IF WE HAVE A RAIN EVENT IN ONE AREA AND NOT THE OTHER, THE WATER CAN SEESAW THERE, IT'LL BE INTERCONNECTION. AND WE'RE PUTTING A FLOODGATE ON DIXIE DRIVE BECAUSE IT, IT'S VERY FLAT AND THE WATER DOES, WHEN IT RAINS HARD, UM, ALL THOSE AREAS DUMP INTO DIXIE AND THEN IT BACKS UP INTO MOSS CHESTNUT BECAUSE IT'S THE LOWEST NEIGHBORHOOD. SO WE'RE PUTTING A FLOODGATE THERE JUST TO KEEP THE WATER FROM BACKING UP INTO THE, INTO THE, UH, NEIGHBORHOOD. AND WE'RE PUTTING IN LARGER PIPES SO THAT THE WATER CAN STORE UNDERGROUND. SO WE'RE DOING A LOT OF THINGS FOR DRAINAGE TO, TO GET THEM, KEEP THEM DRY. WASN'T THERE ISSUE AT DIXIE, BECAUSE WE DON'T, WE NEED TO GET THE FLUTE RIGHT. PART OF THE SOLUTION. FLUTE DOING SOMETHING. UM, SO THERE'S THREE DIFFERENT WAYS FOR THE WATER TO FLOW AND THEY ALL INTERCONNECT RIGHT THERE AT, AT, UH, DIXIE AND OYSTER CREEK DRIVE. SO THE ONE THAT MODESTO WAS TALKING ABOUT, THE PINE STREET DITCH, THAT IMPROVEMENT IS GOING STRAIGHT INTO DITCH A. SO WE'RE GONNA GET THE WATER TO MOVE FASTER FROM MULBERRY AND SYCAMORE EVEN IT'LL, IT SHOULD AFFECT AS FAR BACK AS, UH, WHAT IS THAT SCHOOL THERE? AP BOYLE? YEAH, YEAH, AP BOYLE. YEAH. SO I THINK AT THIS TIME, MOST LIKELY WE'RE GONNA COME BACK AROUND AND SEE IF WE CAN GET EVERYBODY TO AGREE TO WORK WITH THE COUNTY AS A, AS A JOINT PROJECT OF JUST DOING MINOR CLEANING AND STUFF.
